The Show We Crashed…

If you’ve seen the video I posted about the fun we had at stART In The Park, you’ll see that we paid a visit to The Snow Ghost show (also taping at the festival). I’ve found the video they made and thought I’d share. It’s fun stuff

stART In The Park

This is the first video I’ve gotten done. I have some other really fun stuff to post but I don’t have those videos edited yet. For now, this is some of what happened at stART In The Park.

Wormtown Taxi has a great post about the festival. It was indeed a very cool event. The park was a great place to have it. It was nice to get out there and see people and enjoy the beautiful weather.

I expect to be posting more video from the event including parts of the soon-to-be-famous “Worcester Love” song (see Wormtown Taxi’s post for explanation).

Here’s links to the web sites of people in the video:

LOTS of stuff to do with the kids!

stART on the Street, originally uploaded by Claudia Snell.

Last weekend I was trying to figure out what to do for fun. I have to say, it was a bit of a task. Despite all the great online tools for getting the word out, it still seems hard to find something to do with the kids on the weekends.

This week there’s been a change in that. I’ve been getting information about great stuff going on from all directions. I guess if you complain enough, people start sending you email to shut you up or something.

I decided to share some of what I’ve got so far. I’m just posting things I’ve got through the July 4 fireworks. I’ve actually been sent information about things out into September. Wow. I guess I won’t be able to complain about having “nothing fun to do” for a while now.

So, here it is, the big list so far:

Holiday Arts Event at the DCU

I know, I’m a couple of days late with this but here’s the “Holiday Arts Happening” post.

We saw a lot of really cool stuff. Did some shopping. Saw some friends and met some new people. It was really a nice way to spend the day.

The little guys in the picture above are created by “Converse Creations”. Converse Creations is artist, Wendy Converse and her partner Tina Atwood. Tina helps with framing Wendy’s paintings. I really liked these - so cute and funny. Go see for yourself online - Converse Creations: www.conversecreations.com

Holiday Arts Event at the DCUI also got myself a super cool paintingloft.com shirt at the booth of “Three Scotts”. Can’t wait to wear it :-)

For those who weren’t at the event, the “Three Scotts” are:
Scott Boilard: www.scottboilard.com

Scott Halloway: www.paintingloft.com
Scott Erb: .comwww.erbphoto.com

They all are fantastically talented. It was fun to meet them and talk to them a bit. Check out their sites. They’ve all got portfolios online.

Here’s the link to the rest of my pictures. I’ve also posted links to the artist’s sites so you can shop online if you like what I posted.

Thanks to Tina @ stART on the Street and all her people for making another fun day for us all!
