So, my son is in marching band. I think it’s good for him. It’s giving him a bit of structure and something to be proud of. He’s a Senior and this is really the first time he’s tried to participate in things at school. I guess he’s a late bloomer.

Damon’s been creating digital music since he was a little kid. I think it all started some time around when he was 9, or maybe 10. It’s a long time. He’s been mostly self taught so It’s good to see him working hard to learn about music at school. He’s even trying to make plans to study at the college level.

Today we helped him return some keyboardy-looking thing to the music store (it was broken) and get a new one. Then we brought him to the school. He’s got a band competition tonight.

I can’t wait to hear what he makes with that thing I bought him. He seemed to be very excited about it.

Hey! Check out this video of the Industrial Sonic Echo at Start On The Street 2007. I found it posted on YouTube by user orzechowskid. I wish the audio was better but it was a hard situation to be shooting in without the aid of professional gear. I wish I could shoot video of these guys. That would be really cool.

What a great day for an art festival! Good thing stART on the Street was going on

We had an awesome time. We saw a lot of friends (I’ve missed all you people!). What a fantastic collection of art and artists - what a fun time! Thank you Tina and crew for a fantastic day!

I think Industrial Sonic Echo will stand out in our memories for awhile. LOVED IT! That’s Sarah in the picture becoming part of the act. She really like that. I got a lot of fun pictures today so pop to my Flickr and check the photos. I got a lot more than I posted. Mostly because my very dumb Flickr uploader went berzerk and doubled a bunch of things, didn’t upload some other things and in general made a miserable mess - foo.

I’ll be cleaning that up, posting other cool stuff and all that over the next week. I”m just too tired to fuss with it any more.

It’s almost time - stART on the Street is coming! I’m pretty excited.

Last year was the first time I went out, I had a lot of fun so I’m going back! The stART site says there will be over 200 artists and 10 live bands and a bunch of other street performances and kid stuff to do I’m sure we’ll have some fun.
