AquaSixio (real name: Cyril Rolando) is one of my very favorite artists on DeviantArt.com. He does amazing things with Photoshop and a Wacom tablet.

The poems he writes to explain the pieces are also very beautiful. One of my favorite series is called ‘Heavyhearted’.

When I visited his ‘real’ web site, I was surprised to find out that he has not attended art school.

I love that he has posted a time line of his work. He calls it Retrospection/Introspection. It’s inspirational to see where he started and where he is now. His journey has been amazing in both skill and subjects.
