Well, I think it’s about time that I post a plug for my book, Building Web Sites All-in-One Desk Reference For Dummies.

Co-Author, Doug Sahlin and I worked hard to bring together a lot of information that should be helpful to anyone trying to build a real web site. It was important to us that we cover a lot of basic information and, hopefully, give readers some guidance toward deeper learning.

We made sure the book covers “how-to’s” and “why-to’s” to help people as they make decisions about their projects. We also included information about how to hire and work with a team. We thought it was important to move beyond a simple “point here, click here” tutorial style and include information that will help readers be better web designers or project managers.

The book provides information about how to use industry standard tools AND some hands on coding technique. Hopefully we laid a foundation for readers so they can feel comfortable learning and using the tools and languages of the web.

Anyway, I know I’ve posted that I’ve written a book. I just haven’t posted directly about the book itself yet. I thought it was time.
